This special training program for second year students interested in manufacturing-related positions has been developed by the San Joaquin Valley Water Technology Cluster in collaboration with Fresno City College and Reedley College .
Features
Full-time Summer Internship at a host company in Fresno or Madera County .
n most cases, internships will last 2-4 months during the summer (May – August)
During the internship, students are paid $8.50 per hour by the company for a minimum of 150 hours

Water Technology Training Academy
Summer Interns will participate in the Water Technology Training Academy . The Training Academy will be a series of half-day workshops on topics important to the industry:
Workplace Safety
Manufacturing Flow Process
Basic Shop Math
Teamwork & Diversity
Basic Employment Skills
Eligibility
Enrolled at Fresno City College or Reedley College in a two-year applied technology field
Complete first year of program prior to starting internship
Maintain a grade point average of at least 2.5 during the internship
Submit a Faculty Recommendation Form
Be at least 18 years of age when starting internship
Be available to intern during regular business hours (hours will vary by company) in the summer months
Pass drug screen requirements (completed upon receiving an internship)
Fulfill requirements specific to the host company
